News: Argentine Tango in Georgetown
Posted by Stephen on Tuesday, March 25

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 25, 2008—Georgetown, Texas—In a effort to introduce Argentine Tango to the community, tango instructors Mardi Brown and Stephen Shortnacy will teach a free introductory tango lesson at the Georgetown Recreation Center on May 3 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.

Argentine Tango is an intimate and improvisational social dance that grew out of the barrios of Buenos Aries in the early 1900s.   It was reintroduced to the rest of the world in the mid-80s.   With foundations that exist in the connection of the embrace and musicality of the rhythm, the dance continues to evolve from the traditional music and styles.

Everyone is invited to come take their first steps and discover Argentine Tango.  Georgetown Recreation Center is located at 1003 North Austin Avenue.  Space is limited.  Call the Rec Center at (512) 930-3596 to register for class.
